Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly preferred.

• Teaching/facilitation/training experience highly desired.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and intercultural skills.
• Microsoft Word, typing and internet research proficiency required.
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency desired.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Prior experience achieving success working under limited supervision.
• Comfortable speaking to crowds and communicating with a wide variety of audiences.
• Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation travel to meetings and provide coverage support at other Chrysalis offices

Responsibilities

• Volunteer Recruitment, Coordination, Training, and Engagement: maintain daily communication with volunteers and provide direct support.
• Assess program needs, screen, onboard and train new volunteers regularly.
• Support volunteer appreciation and engagement activities and plan events.
• Evaluate volunteer performance and provide feedback and further training.
• Work with Client Services, attend weekly staff meetings, communicate about volunteers and training.
• Cross-functional communication across Chrysalis sites and support staff, clients, volunteers.
• Take on special projects to improve processes and streamline operations.
• Direct Client Service Delivery: provide resume prep and interview practice; assist clients with job applications.
• Customer Service and Administration: coordinate volunteer schedules and ensure coverage for classes.
• Track volunteer activities in Chrysalis data systems and report updates to stakeholders.
• Monitor supplies for volunteer-related client services and reorder as needed.
