Goodwin Living in Alexandria, VA seeks a Herralink Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, onboard, and support volunteers in the Herralink program. You will manage records and use Galaxy Digital to optimize workflows.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with leadership experience, strong writing and organizational skills, and comfort working with older adults. Weekend/hybrid schedule offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Recent college graduate preferred; experience leading a group, club, or volunteer-based org is required.
• Excellent written, verbal, proofreading, and editorial skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with volunteer management platforms or databases is preferred.
• Experience working with older adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, train, and support volunteers for the Herralink program.
• Screen applicants, conduct interviews, perform reference checks, and track in Galaxy Digital.
• Communicate volunteer placements to Life Enrichment teams and community leadership.
• Provide weekend supervision of volunteers at GL campuses as needed.
• Facilitate in-person orientation and annual policy reviews for volunteers.
• Maintain organized volunteer files and accurate database records.
• Monitor participation and performance; offer day-to-day support.
• Coordinate volunteer recognition activities with the Herralink Manager.
• Plan school visits, group events, and related logistics.
• Prepare materials and refreshments for volunteer programs and events.
• Contribute to program growth and integration across Goodwin Living.
• Analyze metrics to develop retention and engagement strategies.
