Job summary

Mercy Ships is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to support volunteer onboarding with administrative accuracy and warm, clear communication. You will verify documents, guide applicants, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth start for volunteers.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 1+ year in relevant roles, and a hybrid schedule with three days onsite in Lindale, Texas. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in customer service or admin support preferred.
• Mercy Ships Entry Training must be completed within the first year.
• Hybrid work schedule requires 3 on-site days per week.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer Preparation & Information Management: Guide applicants through onboarding, manage docs, provide clear progress updates.
• Application & Documentation Processing: Review submissions, ensure completeness, update ATS, support screenings.
• Volunteer Communication & Support: Provide timely, professional communication about status and next steps.
• Administrative Support: Maintain records, schedule interviews/trainings, coordinate with teams.
