Job summary

OGDEN CITY is seeking a Part-Time Union Station Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, schedule and support museum volunteers, and oversee the guest membership program while maintaining records.

The role partners with museum staff to ensure a welcoming public experience, coordinates programs and outreach, and tracks participation and engagement. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred in history, communications, hospitality, business, or related field.
• 3+ years in volunteer coordination, membership services, or customer service preferred.
• Valid Utah driver’s license within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule, and support museum volunteers.
• Serve as primary contact for volunteer questions and concerns.
• Ensure volunteers follow policies, safety procedures, and codes of conduct.
• Track and report volunteer participation and engagement.
• Track and report membership activity internally.
• Coordinate volunteer assignments to support daily operations and public programs.
• Administer guest membership program including enrollments, renewals, and benefits.
• Maintain up-to-date volunteer and membership records and databases.
• Assist with volunteer recognition and development activities.
• Coordinate and support member engagement activities.
• Collaborate with museum staff to ensure a positive visitor and member experience.
• Promote outreach and community engagement related to volunteers and memberships.
