Job summary

GLIDE in San Francisco is seeking a Volunteer Program Coordinator to support its volunteer department, administer individual volunteer programs, and help design new initiatives. You will conduct outreach, recruitment, scheduling, and recognition, aiming to increase volunteer numbers and retention across programs.

This onsite role runs Monday–Friday 9 AM–5:30 PM, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for major events. Salesforce experience is a plus.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience working in a non-profit, education, or social impact organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Previous experience coordinating, recruiting, and scheduling volunteers.
Experience in front-facing roles delivering presentations, facilitating workshops, and leading events.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

Greet and steward volunteers arriving and departing for their shifts.
Schedule and conduct orientations, as well as debriefs, for individuals and groups.
Conduct group presentations, administer workshops, and facilitate groups.
Liaise with internal departments to add new volunteer opportunities.
Support recruitment, retention, and success of all volunteers across programs.
Design and administer group Service-Learning Programming and related materials.
