Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Volunteer Services Assistant to coordinate volunteers for Our Daily Bread meal service operations in Baltimore. You will orient, schedule, and guide volunteers during breakfast and lunch shifts, ensuring proper coverage and a welcoming environment for volunteers, guests, clients, and staff.

The role supports donor coordination, event planning, and maintains volunteer data while fostering strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years related human services experience required.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and guides new volunteers through program expectations and safety procedures.
• Assigns volunteer roles and ensures adequate coverage for breakfast and lunch service.
• Provides on-site guidance to volunteers during food service and answers questions.
• Builds relationships with schools, colleges, businesses and community partners.
• Monitors Volunteer Office phone and email communications and schedules volunteers.
• Mantains accurate volunteer records in the system.
• Assists with donation triage and coordination for the program area.
• Monitors and restocks meal service stations and supplies.
• Supports special projects and events with volunteer assistance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
