Job summary

HandsOn San Diego, fiscally sponsored by Mission Edge San Diego, is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Manager to grow and sustain volunteers, College Corps Fellows, Volunteer Leaders, and nonprofit partners. This full-time role in San Diego focuses on partnerships, volunteer recruitment, calendars, communications, and community events.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage with benefits and a hybrid work arrangement to support field and office duties in the San Diego area.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers.
• Experience with Salesforce and/or Google Workspace.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with databases and learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Support current nonprofit partners and maintain ongoing communication to ensure success of current projects and establish new opportunities.
• Coordinate project planning and implementation of volunteer and community events, including procurement of project supplies and on-site management.
• Maintain timely and effective communication with volunteers and volunteer groups about opportunities.
• Manage and oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluations of College Corps Fellows.
• Represent HandsOn San Diego at external functions and promote volunteer engagement.
