Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated teacher to share the gospel in classroom settings with both churched and unchurched students. The ideal candidate participates in a local church and communicates effectively with students, families, and school staff.

You will deliver LifeWise curricula, foster relationships with students, manage a well-ordered classroom, and stay current with training and policy updates.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the What We Believe section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and annual LifeWise Summit attendance.
• Attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or Meet-Up per year and stay updated via LifeWise email.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the curriculum, mapping curriculum customization and building relationships with students.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, health notes, and substitute information; keep accurate records as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and know emergency procedures; purchase supplies as needed.
• Communicate as a LifeWise ambassador, attend school open houses, and maintain dialogue with school personnel and volunteers; share updates and promote LifeWise's religious mission.
