Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a teacher to share the gospel in public school classrooms, blending Bible knowledge with effective instruction. The ideal candidate participates in a local church, communicates well, and cares for students with a redemptive approach to discipline.

You will complete training, implement the LifeWise curriculum, build relationships with students, and collaborate with school staff to support well-being and classroom success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's Beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer.
• Maintain an organized, engaging classroom environment and adhere to LifeWise policies.
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters, including health and permission records.
• Keep the classroom in good order and purchase supplies as needed.
• Communicate with school staff, volunteers and program director, sharing updates and photos.
