Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a teacher who can combine Bible knowledge with engaging classroom instruction to share the gospel with both churched and unchurched public school students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching children.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students, build relationships, and pray for them regularly.
• Maintain attendance, class rosters, health notes, and parent permissions.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and follow emergency procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and program director; report updates and photos.
