Manages workload distribution, work activities, productivity, procedural and process compliance to ensure efficiency. Assigns volunteers to jobs within the organization where help is needed and volunteers' skills are utilized. Ensures team assignment of volunteers is adequate to supplement patient care services and distribute the workload efficiently. Develops, reviews, revises, and implements processes, policies, and procedures for Volunteer Services to improve productivity, workflow, and efficiency. Assists with the analysis and preparation of departmental reports and statistics. Communicates with Operational Unit Managers, Directors, teams, patient caregivers, and family members to assess and respond to needs for volunteers. Supervises compliance by volunteers for all annual testing requirements. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Collaborates with the Human Resources Department in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching functions. Addresses complaints and assists in resolving employee relation issues in collaboration with the Human Resources Department. Rewards employees appropriately and evaluates performance in a timely manner using the organization’s employee evaluation forms. Plans, assigns, and directs work of directly supervised staff. Other duties as assigned.
