Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a PRN Day shift administrative role to support patients, physicians and the care team. You will coordinate post-acute services under the direction of a RN or Care Manager and help arrange transportation and follow-up visits.

Strong computer, communication and clerical skills are essential, with prior data entry and medical terminology experience preferred. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ office experience preferred, ideally in a medical setting.
• Previous data entry experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer service through interactions with patients and physicians.
• Coordinates patient care and services with RN or SW Care Manager.
• Obtains insurance authorization for post-acute care needs as directed.
• Arranges transportation and follow-up appointments; documents regulatory letters.

Job Description:

Promotes excellent customer services through interactions with patients, physicians, care managers, and the healthcare team. Collaborates with the Care Managers for patient care coordination needs. Coordinates patient care and services arrangements under the direction of a RN or SW Care Manager and in collaboration with the patient/family. Provides and documents the delivery of regulatory letters to patients or their representatives in accordance with Federal and State regulations. Arranges patient transportation and follow up appointments as requested. Obtains insurance authorization for patient post-acute care needs as directed by the Care Manager. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills required to include, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Medical terminology helpful.
• Good public relations/clerical and computer skills.

Pay Range:

$17.11 - $27.38
