Job summary

Alamo Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to support Boerne and Kerrville locations. The role focuses on building an effective volunteer program, recruiting and training volunteers, and maximizing volunteer use across clinical and administrative services.

You will work with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, develop retention initiatives, and grow the volunteer network to enhance patient and family care across the hospice.”

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and speak before groups with sensitivity and compassion.
• Significant group organizational experience.
• Volunteer recruitment, training and supervision experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice services and patient care.

Territory: Based at our Boerne office supporting Boerne and Kerrville.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement Volunteer Training Program.
• Recruit and train volunteers.

• Assumes other duties as developed by the Director of Operations
• Assists in the recruitment, training and development of all volunteer programs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Significant group organizational experience.
• Volunteer experience desired, particular in recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
• Knowledge of hospice.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
• Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications.
• Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently
