Alamo Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to support Boerne and Kerrville locations. You will develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer training program and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while expanding volunteer involvement in both clinical and administrative areas.

The role emphasizes recruiting, training, and developing volunteers, with a focus on compassionate care and community engagement. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with groups.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and recruitment preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice operations helpful.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured vehicle.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and implement Volunteer Training Program.
• Assures compliance with all regulatory issues related to volunteers.
• Develop programs that maximize the use of volunteers in both clinical and administrative services.
• Assumes other duties as developed by the Director of Operations
• Assists in the recruitment, training and development of all volunteer programs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and the ability to speak before groups with sensitivity and compassion.
• Significant group organizational experience.
• Volunteer experience desired, particular in recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
• Knowledge of hospice.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
• Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications.
• Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently
