Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join the U.S. Rebuild team in Harrison County, West Virginia. Greet volunteers, orient them to projects, explain safety rules, and coordinate meal times, lodging, and materials as needed.

You will schedule volunteers, track hours, liaise with construction foremen and the Project Superintendent, and assist with daily and monthly reports. This full-time role supports a multi-year rebuild effort grounded in faith and service.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Ability to write reports and procedures.
• Ability to solve practical problems in varied situations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome volunteer teams; provide orientation on project details, safety protocols, and lodging assignments.
• Coordinate meal times and distribute materials; explain camp responsibilities and tasks.
• Assist in safety training for staff and volunteers.
• Schedule volunteers and liaise with coordinators and the Project Superintendent.
• Track volunteer hours and report data to the Field Support Manager.
• Match volunteer skills with tasks in collaboration with foremen.
• Assist in daily/monthly report preparation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
