Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transport for students and volunteers to the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate maintains a clean driving record, passes required background and FMCSA checks, and adheres to LifeWise safety protocols.

The role requires a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, with school bus endorsement preferred, and participation in periodic drug testing and annual physician statements if needed.

Qualifications

• Hold a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Must have CDL license continuously for past 3 years.
• Age between 21 and 80.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in last 5 years.
• Pass background check via LifeWise Academy.
• Pass MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse checks.
• Complete drug/alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; demonstrate calm and caring demeanor.
