Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a LifeWise CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site with a focus on safety, punctuality, and reliability. The role requires a clean driving record, FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance, and compliance with pre-employment and ongoing drug tests.

Qualified candidates must hold a CDL with passenger Endorsement (P), preferably School Bus (S), and participate in required background checks and physician statements for medical approval.

Qualifications

• CDL with Passenger Vehicle endorsement (P) required
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years
• Background check through LifeWise Academy
• MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance required
• Drug/alcohol testing conducted pre-employment, annually, and post-accidents
• Yearly physician's statement for drivers with medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules
• Assist students entering/exiting the bus and monitor behavior
• Complete LifeWise Academy training
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if allowed by director
