Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to the LifeWise site, ensuring safety and compliance with all laws. You must maintain a clean driving record and pass background, MVR, and FMCSA checks, with regular drug tests.

The role requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement, ideally a school bus endorsement, and a commitment to the LifeWise faith and procedures.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement required.
• School bus endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; annual submission of CDL license and (P) endorsement if over 75.
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing per policy; pre-employment and random testing.
• Medical statements may be required for drivers with known conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce rules and assist entering/exiting.
• Demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor and monitor student behavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if agreed.
