Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from LifeWise sites in the United States. The ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, and maintains a clean driving record, with a CDL-P endorsement and preferred School Bus endorsement.

The role requires background checks, drug testing, and willingness to participate in LifeWise Academy training and classroom activities as approved by the director.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last five years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Age 21–80; post-75 CDL copies annually as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and stay calm and caring.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities if approved.
