Job summary

The Sunbelt Solomon Full Service Technician is responsible for assembling and disassembling voltage regulators and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and company policies. You will read work orders, gather parts, and perform rebuilding tasks to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities include quality checks, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on voltage regulators, using shop equipment safely, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred
• A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions to ensure rebuilding transformers to customer specifications.
• Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
• Reconditioning and reassembly of regulators will include cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing the oil and basic repairs.
• Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation
• Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems on voltage regulators and repair as needed.
• Elevate complex issues such as larger voltages, unusual nameplates, and more complex testing issues.
• Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately.
• Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
