Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Disassembler Technician to safely use hand and power tools to dismantle single phase and pole mount transformers. The role emphasizes compliance with safety and quality standards.

The schedule is Monday–Friday starting at 6:00 AM, with tasks including disassembly, sorting parts for reuse or scrap, and maintaining a clean work area. Ideal candidates have HS Diploma/GED and experience with mechanical systems or transformers, plus familiarity with material handling

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
• Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions.
• Gather parts and tools needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage.
• Disassemble and sort transformer parts for reuse and scrap.
• Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete.
• Usage of material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Other duties as assigned.
