Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon seeks a Field Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical power distribution equipment at customer sites across North America. You’ll work hands-on with transformers, switchgear, and relays, delivering safe, reliable service.

Travel up to 30%, read one-line diagrams, operate test equipment, and uphold safety standards. Requires high school diploma; NETA 2 preferred; willing to travel and work extended hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
• NETA 2 certification preferred; will substitute 3+ years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment and hand tools.
• Strong commitment to safety, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and hazard awareness.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and work extended or irregular hours as needed.
• Eligibility to work in the US without need for employer sponsored VISA (work permit)

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
• Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer needs—with occasional emergency calls— with professionalism and urgency.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
• Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.
