Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Volleyball Coach to lead a middle school program at Minnetonka Middle School West. The role involves planning practices, supervising travel to events, and coordinating with the Director of Activities on staffing and budget needs.

The coach will implement conditioning plans, manage schedules, and uphold athletic policies and conduct standards for student participants.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the assigned sport.
• Understanding of district policies for student conduct and athletics.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and communicate effectively.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to student participation in co‑curricular activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, accompany and supervise the team to and from events including practices and competitions.
• Responsible for organization and administration of coaching an athletic team.
• Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development and evaluation of assistant coaches.
• Work with Director of Activities on budget requests, spending and fundraising as needed.
• Plan and implement conditioning and weight programs with staff.
• Coordinate practice and game schedules with offices and other coaches.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship and manage penalties for students.
