Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Tennis Coach for Minnetonka Middle School West. The role involves planning, supervising travel to events, and administering a successful tennis program in coordination with the Activities Office.

The position requires knowledge of Minnesota State High School League rules, strong communication, budget awareness, and a commitment to student development, discipline, and safety, with duties extending to coaching staff and assisting with program improvements.

Qualifications

Coaching license or completion of MSHSL alternative program.
Experience planning and supervising athletic teams.
Knowledge of Minnesota State High School League rules and policies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time.
Commitment to student participation in co-curricular activities.

Responsibilities

Plan, accompany and supervise the team to and from all events including practices and competitions.
Responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of coaching an athletic team.
Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development and evaluation of assistant coaches.
Work with Director of Activities on budget requests and fundraising as needed.
Plan and implement conditioning and strength programs with the Pagel Center Staff.
Coordinate practice and game schedules with the Student Activities Office and other coaches.
Enforce discipline and sportsmanship and manage activity penalties for students.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Develop and implement an emergency action plan as directed by the Minnesota State High School League.
