Job summary

Leidos in the United States seeks a seasoned, hands‑on VoIP/VTC Solution Engineering Manager to lead the UC&C Solution Engineering team. Reporting to the Director of Digital Engineering, this role emphasizes people leadership, engineering quality, resource planning, and delivering the team's technical commitments.

You will supervise a team of about four Solution Engineers, stay active in architecture, design reviews, and complex deployments, and handle Tier 3/4 escalations.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of VoIP, VTC, or UC engineering experience.
• At least three years of technical leadership / people management.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Telecommunications or related field.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and develop a team of VoIP, VTC, and Telephony Solution Engineers.
• Own engineering quality, schedules, risks, and delivery for team commitments.
• Define and maintain architecture roadmaps for on-prem, hybrid, UCaaS, and cloud.
• Lead design reviews, labs, and escalations for high-severity voice/video issues.
• Ensure operational readiness, security, and compliance of solutions.
