Job summary

Ledgent Technology is seeking a VoIP Support Technician in Bloomington, MN for onsite deployment, onboarding, and ongoing maintenance of hosted voice solutions. You will work with clients to implement cloud-based and legacy voice systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful onboarding experiences.

The role requires strong VoIP knowledge, hands-on configuration of phones and gateways, and customer-focused support across multiple clients. Local travel for installations is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting VoIP or business telephony solutions.
• Understanding of voice technologies, protocols, and terminology.
• Strong troubleshooting in customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and support hosted VoIP solutions for business customers.
• Assist with client onboarding: phone provisioning, system setup, user enablement.
• Troubleshoot voice service issues involving SIP, call routing, endpoints, and related tech.
• Support cloud-based voice platforms (e.g., Zoom Phone, 8x8, Nextiva) and legacy PBX systems.
• Maintain and support existing voice infrastructure including PBX environments.
• Perform moves, adds, changes, and user admin within customer voice systems.
• Monitor service performance and investigate voice quality concerns.
• Install and configure IP phones, gateways, SBCs, ATAs, and related hardware.
• Document configurations, changes, troubleshooting efforts, and customer interactions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve networking/connectivity issues impacting voice services.
• Provide end-user training and guidance during implementations and support engagements.
• Occasional local customer visits for installations, deployments, and hardware support.
