Base pay range

Title: Voice Systems Engineer – (Subcontract at an NRI Client)

Job Description:

The Voice Systems Engineer will provide the highest level of support for troubleshooting incidents and will update problem records in an incident tracking system. This person will help train and mentor other members of the team. They may also participate in projects with significant impact to the business, where close coordination and communication is required with other departments inside and outside of IT. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience in an IT discipline with at least three years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Communications Applications including Collaboration, Telecom and Call Center systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with IT Infrastructure Team to deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade and support IT systems, focusing on enterprise communication solutions, Microsoft Active Directory, and externally hosted systems.
• Lead our Telecom, Call Center, and Voice Systems as the primary owner of these applications.
• Work with IT Infrastructure Systems Services to deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade, and support our Microsoft 365 Environment including Teams, SharePoint, and Azure AD.
• Keeping Infrastructure Systems updated and secure.
• Benchmark, analyze, report, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
• Provision solutions to enable our technical operations teams to support our users.
• Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
• Keep current with the latest technologies and pursue educational and training opportunities.
• Work with IT Infrastructure Team to develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery and service provisioning.
• Practice asset management for IT computer hardware and software.
• Train and mentor other members of the Infrastructure and Support Operational Team.
• Participate actively with the IT Team to ensure our systems environments address the needs of the business.
• Coordinate development of our infrastructure to ensure key business strategies and processes are supported by systems that enable growth and flexibility
• Translate business needs into system solutions making maximum use of available tools while ensuring longer term supportability of the architecture
• Participate in selection, installation, operation, support, and maintenance of our information technology infrastructure.
• Available to work any and all shifts.
• Be available for on-call support.

Qualifications:

• Three years of experience in an IT discipline with hands-on communications infrastructure and active directory experience.
• Experience with managing, designing, and configuring Telecommunications Systems (PBX, VoIP, SIP).
• Experience in a Microsoft environment, Active Directory, GPO, Server 2012R2 and newer.
• Experience with email systems including Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Contact Center / Call Center system experience is a plus.
• Experience with Mitel Voice Systems is a plus.
• Experience with VMWare and Veeam environments is a plus.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
• Experience with PowerShell and other automation/scripting technologies is a plus.
• Preferred Computer/Information Science, Security or Technical Degree.
• Technical Certifications including VMware/Microsoft/AWS/Google are a plus.
• Technical experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree or certification.
