Job summary

The Cayuse Holdings Voice Data Communication Engineer, Journeyman role offers hands-on experience shaping large-scale voice and data networks in a dynamic, security-conscious environment in Illinois. You will assist in planning, designing, installing, testing, and maintaining critical communications infrastructure while aligning with Cayuse’s standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in voice/data communications engineering is preferred but not required with certifications.
• Certifications: BICSI Installer 2 or Copper or BICSI Installer 2 - Fiber are mandatory.
• Top-Secret Clearance is required.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, designing, and developing large-scale voice and data networks to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Participate in the installation and deployment of voice/data communication systems.
• Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of communication network components.
• Support maintenance and repair of network infrastructure.
• Assist in preparing detailed documentation, network configurations, and system procedures.
• Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and implement communication solutions.
• Apply engineering knowledge to meet organizational goals while complying with industry standards.
