Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking a senior engineer to own and evolve its voice and CCaaS platforms, including Cisco CUCM and Microsoft Teams Voice. The role spans building stable, scalable infrastructure, and driving migrations from legacy systems to modern communications.

You will lead CCaaS efforts, optimize Five9 deployments, and work across network, security, and backend teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality communications for the enterprise. The position is hybrid in Downers Grove, IL.

Qualifications

• Proven experience owning voice and CCaaS platforms, not just supporting them.
• Hands-on with Cisco UC (CUCM) and Microsoft Teams Voice.
• Experience with contact center platforms.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals impacting real-time traffic.

Responsibilities

• Lead voice platform evolution and migration strategies.
• Own and scale CCaaS platform, optimize Five9, and plan future Zoom/Nice deployments.
• Operate across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and carrier networks to ensure voice quality.
• Build stability by eliminating recurring issues and driving automation.
• Contribute to secure and scalable infrastructure with security alignment.
