Developmental Disability Center of Nebraska seeks a seasoned Director of Vocational Services to oversee daily operations of vocational sites, ensuring client-centered planning, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance.

This leader will shape strategic direction, supervise staff, and collaborate with community resources to enhance services for individuals with developmental disabilities and serious mental illness.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, social or behavioral sciences or a related area.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience; or 4 years of specific equivalent training and 5 years of professional experience coordinating, planning and implementing residential/community programs for developmentally disabled/seriously mentally ill populations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide ongoing supervision, staff development, and evaluation of assigned staff.
• Coordinate effective communication with external resources, internal support staff, direct reports, and supervisor.
• Ensure documentation is completed and maintained daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly.
• Monitor compliance with ICF/ID regulations and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee division budget and staffing with direct reports.
• Maintain Vocational census by coordinating with referral sources and providing information on sites.
• Lead Human Rights Committee, Behavior Support meetings, and departmental meetings as assigned.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate short- and long-range goals; allocate resources accordingly.
• Develop policies, services, and procedures; oversee placement for vocational services.
• Liaise with governmental and community agencies; provide crisis intervention when needed.
