Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Developmental Specialist Vocational to build positive relationships with individuals and help them achieve personal dreams per their goal plans.

The role involves assessing hopes, facilitating advocacy, coordinating with community services, and supporting daily progress through documentation. A High School Diploma is required, and a valid driver’s license is preferred as driving/travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience with adults with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals in exploring hopes, dreams, and goals and provide supports to achieve them.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals receiving services.
• Assist people in developing advocacy skills and connecting with community supports.
• Supervise, educate, and monitor individuals in work settings (community, workshops, day supports).
• Maintain safe working environments and adhere to procedures, policies, and laws.
