Job summary

Burke Industries in Lufkin, TX is hiring a Vocational Coordinator to support daily operations at the Angelina and Nacogdoches facilities. You will handle billing and documentation for the Individualized Skills & Socialization programs, maintain logs, process payments, and track staff hours and contract work.

You’ll also participate in planning meetings, support skill development, activities of daily living, and community integration, ensuring compliance and quality of service for individuals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Ability to complete required training including SAMA, CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Van Driving, and required training modules.

Compensation: $35,349.60 annually, depending on qualifications and experience
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, generally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

About the Role

The Vocational Coordinator supports the daily operations of Burke Industries and provides services at both the Angelina and Nacogdoches facilities. This position is responsible for billing and documentation for Individualized Skills & Socialization programs while also providing direct support to individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities include maintaining daily logs, processing payments from external providers, documenting staff hours and contract work, and ensuring completion of annual staff workbooks required for contract eligibility. The Vocational Coordinator also participates in planning meetings and supports individuals with skill development, socialization training, activities of daily living, and community integration.

What You'll Do

What You Need

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Driving record that meets Burke's insurance requirements.
• Ability to successfully complete required training, including Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA), CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, Van Driving, and required training modules.

Preferred

• One (1) year of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a vocational role.

Physical Requirements

This position requires sight, hearing, talking, walking, prolonged standing, bending and/or kneeling, driving a vehicle, and sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform job duties. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
