Job summary

Burke is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing services at the Angelina Mental Health Clinic in Lufkin, TX. This role supports behavioral healthcare through medication management, nursing assessments, patient education, documentation, and coordination of services.

Travel to satellite clinics may be required, and the team emphasizes clear communication and collaboration. The LVN will administer injections, track medications, conduct assessments, and assist with AIMS tests

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas LVN license in good standing.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Driving record meets Burke's insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of nursing practices for the age groups served.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to complete SAMA, CPR, and First Aid training.

Responsibilities

Location: Angelina Mental Health Clinic - Lufkin, TX
Position Number: P#1358
Compensation: $43,056 annually
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

About the Role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides nursing services to adult and adolescent patients at the Angelina Mental Health Clinic. This position supports the delivery of quality behavioral healthcare through medication management, nursing assessments, patient education, documentation, and coordination of nursing services.

Travel to other clinic locations, including satellite clinics in Newton, San Augustine, Livingston, and Crockett, may be required. The LVN works closely with patients and other members of the treatment team and must demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

What You'll Do

What You Need

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Driving record that meets Burke's insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of current nursing practices and principles specific to the age groups served.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to successfully complete Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA), CPR, and First Aid training.

Preferred

• One (1) year of experience working with individuals with mental illness in an inpatient or community setting.
