Job summary

Ensemble Schools is seeking a part-time voice instructor for Music House School of Music in Lenexa, KS. In-person lessons are offered, with preference for those who can teach at multiple locations including Prairie Village and Overland Park.

Bachelor's degree in music education or performance is preferred, with at least 1 year of teaching experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• Group teaching experience a plus.
• Performance experience in both individual and ensemble settings.

Responsibilities

• Teach private lessons building on student strengths.
• Lead group classes using Music House curriculum.
• Attend monthly faculty meetings.
• Assist with three community events per year (recitals, jam sessions, faculty concerts).
• Communicate with parents, faculty, and staff.
• Track attendance and keep teaching notes.
• Sign students up for performances and prepare them.
• Create or follow lesson plans and teaching guides.
