Job summary

The Infrastructure Support Engineer at CACI will apply interdisciplinary engineering skills to plan, integrate, verify, and validate infrastructure solutions. You will support virtualization (VMware), scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, Python), and Linux/Windows OS in a complex system architecture.

This role requires collaboration, documentation, and the ability to work onsite in a classified laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (US Citizen).
• Ability to work onsite in a classified environment at the laboratory.
• Working knowledge of VMware and virtual machine configuration.
• Proficiency with Linux (RHEL and Ubuntu).
• Scripting familiarity with PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems independently.
• Understanding of system of systems concepts, IaaS, and complex architectures.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and troubleshoot the virtualized environment using VMware.
• Configure VM designs for optimal performance and resource use.
• Develop and maintain network architecture per requirements.
• Create automation scripts using PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Document infrastructure processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and share knowledge.
• Maintain understanding of system of systems, IaaS, and interdependencies.
• Install and maintain Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows OS.
• Support systems integration activities for the virtualized environment.
