Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer in Dahlgren, VA to support the CIAT infrastructure. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot virtualized environments, requiring VMware expertise and strong scripting skills across PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python.

The role involves documentation, collaboration with teammates, and ensuring security, stability, and performance of the CIAT system. A Bachelor's degree and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years of experience in networking or IT preferred.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot the CIAT system's virtualized environment using VMware.
• Configure and manage virtual machines (VMs) for optimal performance.
• Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures.
• Communicate with team members to resolve technical issues and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot complex problems independently with minimal supervision.
• Understand CIAT system architecture, IaaS components, and interdependencies.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows OSs.
