Detailed Description:

This project focuses on Application Networking and Security, covering the following scope or product areas:

vDefend Firewall (DFW): -Assist deployment of the platform supporting NSXi -Assist in DFW policy creation -Assist in DFW rule migrations -Assist in defining operating models -Assist in standardization goals -Assist in defining/scaling policy structures and operations -Assist in building Common Services Policy (Macro), Infrastructure Policy (Meso), and Application Policy (Micro) -Assist with Identity Firewall, Logging, Monitoring, Operational Metrics, Capacity Management, and Visibility

Project Initiation:

• Mobilize and assign non-customer project resources
• Conduct a kick-off conference call with key stakeholders and the project team

Project Planning and Execution:

• Scope Management: Identify and manage high-level project activities/deliverables
• Schedule Management: Create, maintain, and manage a high-level project schedule

The primary consultant works either 20 or 40 hours per week, as agreed upon before or during the kick-off. Any change in working hours requires a two-week notice and is subject to the contract terms.

Financial Management:

• Report actual time and expenses; review invoices for accuracy

Resource Management:

• Identify and manage resource adjustments

Change Management:

• Coordinate project change requests

Quality Management:

• Manage and document user testing, operational readiness, or process changes

Communication Management: Regular checkpoint meetings and status reports

Project Close: Final invoicing, expense reconciliation, closure meeting, and report

Customer Responsibilities:

• Provide details of issues, objectives, and relevant information before or during engagement
• Ensure the results and outcomes are as agreed; responsible for project management and execution
• Designate a project manager for coordination

During the engagement, the customer will:

• Provide remote access, credentials, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and controls
• Avoid major upgrades or outages during the project
• Refrain from environment changes between scoping and start
• Be responsible for data accuracy and completeness
