Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a VMI Manager to lead and optimize customer inventory programs, including VMI, consignment, and customer-owned inventory. You will own inventory accuracy, process compliance, and strong service levels for our clients.

The role partners with procurement, sales, warehouse, and accounting to improve performance, manage replenishment, audits, and reporting. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management or related fields.
• Experience with VMI, consignment, or customer-owned inventory.
• Familiarity with ERP/inventory management systems; Epicor Eclipse preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Industry knowledge in electrical distribution or industrial supply preferred.

Aufgaben

• Manage and oversee all customer inventory programs including VMI and consignment.
• Own and improve inventory processes, agreements, and controls; train internal teams.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile counts with system balances.
• Monitor demand, forecasts, and release schedules; partner with Procurement.
• Serve as primary customer contact for inventory status and reporting.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, Shipping, Operations, and Accounting.
• Ensure proper identification and segregation of customer-owned/consigned inventory.
• Conduct inventory and quality audits; ensure compliance.
• Administer RMAs, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify aging/slow-moving/obsolete inventory to minimize risk.
• Produce and analyze inventory/performance metrics; provide insights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
