Job summary

Durex Industries in Cary, IL is hiring a first-shift CNC machinist to set up and operate Haas/Okuma/Doosan centers with tight tolerances. You will translate blueprints and GD&T notes into precise tool setups and machine instructions.

You will verify first-piece and in-process quality with micrometers, calipers, and edge finders, document logs and production reports, troubleshoot issues, and help keep production on schedule while contributing to team safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Comfort reading complex blueprints and applying GD&T.
• Experience with CNC controls, G-code, M-code, and changeovers.
• Proficiency with precision hand metrology and deburring.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling and turning centers.
• Translate blueprints into tool setups and machine instructions.
• Verify first-piece and in-process quality with precision tools.
• Document sign-offs, logs, and production reports.
• Troubleshoot problems and optimize tooling and parameters.
• Support team to maintain production schedules.
