Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in the care and husbandry of laboratory animals.
• CMAR/LATG certification or equivalent considered a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Preferred: 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Knowledge of LEAN concepts and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations and animal-care standards.
• Schedule and supervise staff, conduct annual evaluations and training.
• Coordinate with IACUC, USDA and AAALAC reviews; contribute to policies and budgeting.
