Job summary

The position also involves scanning, indexing, and filing records across paper, electronic, and microfilm formats. Back-up support for vital records and immunization data entry may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years clerical healthcare experience.
• Notary certification in NC or within 90 days of employment.
• Bilingual ability in Russian and/or Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and examine vital records and enter data into the computer systems.
• Maintain patient medical records and releases of information under HIPAA guidelines.
• Provide customer service and coordinate with hospitals, physicians, and state offices.
• Scan, index, purge and file records; ensure proper record retention per schedules.
• Back-up duties for vital records processing and immunization data entry when needed.
