Qualifications

• Ability to successfully complete IRS tax preparation certification at Advanced level.
• Experience working with low-income individuals/families dealing with multiple barriers to financial self-sufficiency.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment; Spanish-speaking a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: word processing, spreadsheets, and internet use.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer tax preparers and intake screeners.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, VITA requirements, and quality review standards.
• Develop and improve processes, systems, and resources to support program efficiency.
• Provide technical support for the TaxSlayer software system.
• Promote collaboration, teamwork, and a positive volunteer/staff environment.
• Maintain knowledge of tax preparation standards and industry best practices.
• Monitor service quality and enhance client experience through process improvements.
• Review program data and performance metrics to track productivity and goals.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation for operations and management.
