Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher Visually Impaired to support students in an inclusive environment. You will prepare lesson plans, provide specialized instruction and collect performance data to drive achievement.

Responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues to plan instruction and fulfilling mandated case management duties. This role is based at a site with a 9.5 month calendar and varies in daily hours.

Qualifications

• Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate - Visually Impaired (VI).
• Structured English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement.
• Appropriate Special Education Endorsement/Approved Area.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Immunization proof (measles and rubella) or MMR vaccination.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License (within 30 days of hire).
• MVReport showing acceptable driving record.
• Reliable transportation with adequate insurance.

Responsabilités

• Effectively manage the Exceptional Education environment to support lesson planning and specialized instruction.
• Evaluate, monitor, and data-track student performance to advance achievement.
• Collaborate with a team to plan instruction and ensure continuity of services.
• Complete required case management duties for students.
