Qualifications

• Arizona Dept. of Education Visually Impaired cert or endorsement required.
• Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in citizenship and core subjects per state regs.
• Instruct students with VI, including braille, abacus, listening skills, and CVI.
• Utilizes assistive tech: text-to-speech, screen magnification, Braille notetakers.
• Develops IEPs including LMA, CVI scale, and other assessments.
• Adapts materials (braille, large print, tactile) to student needs.
• Maintains IEP/Records in digital system and confidentiality.
