Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required.
• Special Education Certificate per AZ Department of Education requirements.
• Arizona Teaching Licensure required.
• Specific certifications may be applicable (e.g., Early Childhood Education Certificate, CC for Cross Category Specialists).
• Experience writing IEPs, leading meetings, and collaborating with families is required.
• Experience working with K-12 children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Communicate progress and challenges to staff and families.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit for administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement strategies to support student growth.
• Invite family members to participate in progress assessments.
• Create and distribute quarterly progress reports.
• Consult with on-site therapists regarding behavioral issues.
• Foster a safe, productive classroom environment.
