Job summary

Glendale Unified School District seeks instructors to support the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program. Positions are part-time, 9.25 months, 3–6.5 hours daily, with duties spanning visual arts, digital arts, music, drama, and dance across PK-12.

Qualifications

High School graduation or equivalent.
Associate’s Degree or 48 semester units from an accredited institution.
Background experience with Visual and Performing Arts.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of visual and performing arts instruction in accordance with California State Arts Standards and grade levels.
Supervises large groups of students during arts activities (visual, digital arts, music, drama, dance).
Prepares and moves arts materials and equipment; teaches safe use of materials.
Assists with bulletin boards and displays of student artwork and performances.
Oversees classroom behavior and assists with assessments.
Performs clerical tasks and supports field trips to arts venues.
