Madewell, Inc. is seeking an Associate Manager to join our leadership team.

You’ll drive profitability by fostering genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, while coaching the team for peak performance on a variety of store functions. You will partner with the Store Director to own divisions such as Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, and Service & Selling, ensure accurate systems usage, and contribute to recruiting and training efforts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time retail management experience.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Schedule flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Store Director to maximize profitability and act as a shared business owner.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Support Store Director with recruiting, training and development efforts.
• Partner with Store Director and management team to cultivate a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team consistently exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Develop innovative engagement strategies to build community and loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
