Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Visual Designer to join the Website Design Engineering team. Home base is vercel.com and related launches; you’ll shape how the brand shows up across digital and physical surfaces, collaborating with design engineers who turn design into production code.

This role emphasizes visual design craft, system thinking, and producing production-ready work, with remote or hybrid options across SF, NY, London, or Berlin.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of design experience with a portfolio spanning brand systems across digital and physical media.
• Strong visual design craft and ability to design systems, not one-offs.
• Experience collaborating with engineers in a web-driven environment.
• Familiarity with Vercel products; knowledge of Next.js or related platforms is a plus.
• Comfortable working in hybrid/remote setup; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Define the visual language of Vercel's surfaces (vercel.com, nextjs.org) and set a design direction for the team.
• Create moments people remember: hero animations, launch films, events, and brand-work across screen and space.
• Own the creative vision end-to-end from concept to production with engineers.
• Set the craft bar: typography, motion, and details that make a page unmistakably Vercel.
• Move across web, motion, illustration, 3D, and identity to raise the brand bar.
• Leave a mark on the system by contributing to Geist and shared patterns.
