9/11 Memorial & Museum seeks an Visitor Services Assistant Manager to oversee Box Office, Museum, and Memorial Plaza operations. Lead Supervisors, Reservations, Associates, and Volunteers, ensuring safe, educational, and meaningful experiences for visitors worldwide.

The role requires scheduling, training, cash management, visitor correspondence, and people leadership, with on-site work during all operating hours, including holidays and peak periods.

Formación

• At least 3 years of supervisory experience managing visitor-facing teams; museums, cultural institutions, or tourism preferred.
• Cash handling and POS experience required.
• Demonstrated ownership, sound judgment, and fast-paced environment adaptability.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with visitors and staff.
• Experience managing projects or operational initiatives across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a presence in operations and provide floor-support for Supervisors.
• Handle escalated visitor interactions beyond supervisory resolution.
• Maintain aesthetics in the Museum and on Memorial Plaza.
• Coach and inspire staff to support growth and performance.
• Monitor staff performance; conduct appraisals and disciplinary meetings as needed.
• Develop and administer training to raise staff skills.
• Oversee daily operating plan and information distribution.
• Ensure all staff and volunteers follow policies and code of conduct.
• Collaborate with other departments on events and special projects.
