Job summary

Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Visitor Experience team seeks a Visitor Experience Representative to warmly welcome the public, guide admissions, share information, and support safety in the Museum.

You will work with Engagement, Facilities, Store, and Event Rentals staff to review daily schedules, coordinate groups and classes, and debrief with the team to ensure a smooth, engaging gallery experience for all visitors.

Job description

VISITOR EXPERIENCE REPRESENTATIVE, Museum, is a public-facing position that welcomes all visitors to the Museum; services admissions using mobile ticketing system; provides information, monitors visitors in the museum galleries, and helps to ensure the safety and security of visitors as well as the Museum; participates in the daily team meetings, to include Visitor Experience, Facilities, Store, Event Rentals & Engagement staff, to review the schedule for the day (groups, classes, programs, event rentals, etc.), & to confirm assignments; close out the day with a team debrief; and facilitate the visitor experience in-gallery in coordination with Engagement team members & provide spotlight tours to visitors.
